Enaile is a dedicated psychology major with a deep commitment to public health, currently pursuing her education at the University of Massachusetts in Lowell. Hailing from the vibrant culture of Brazil, she has spent the last eight years in the United States, allowing her to intimately understand the journey of adaptation faced by immigrants.
Enaile’s passion for aiding others was ignited through her volunteer work at a center dedicated to immigrants and refugees, where she served as a compassionate community service and resettlement agent. Additionally, she dedicated her time to her church, where she wore many hats, serving as an interpreter and teacher for young children aged 6-10.
Her unique background as an immigrant has granted her firsthand insight into the trials and tribulations of navigating a new country. Beyond mastering a new language, the challenges of adjusting to a foreign culture and customs can often induce anxiety and discomfort during the resettlement process. It is this empathy and personal experience that fuel her fervor for the field of psychology.
Enaile envisions a world where she can make a tangible difference, particularly for newly arrived immigrants and others, by helping them navigate the emotional hurdles of everyday life. Her goal is to make these challenges more manageable and less daunting, providing a helping hand during the journey of adaptation.
Fluent in both Portuguese and English, Enaile’s linguistic prowess further enables her to bridge the gap and support those in need, making her a vital asset to any community or organization fortunate enough to have her on board.
