Devaki M.

Clinical Intern - MA

Devaki recently completed her Master’s in Clinical Social Work at Boston University and is currently pursuing her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.). She is excited to begin her internship at Embrace Pathways and looks forward to continuing to learn and grow as a clinician.

She has experience working with intellectually and developmentally disabled adults, as well as individuals with substance use disorders. Her experience working with individuals with substance use disorders gave her the opportunity to utilize a strengths-based approach and support clients in recognizing their strengths and empowering themselves throughout their recovery journey. This experience also deepened her understanding of the importance of intersectional identities and the ways that individuals’ unique backgrounds and experiences can shape their lives and treatment needs. Devaki strongly believes in building collaborative relationships with clients and working together to develop treatment plans that best support their individual needs and goals. She is also committed to practicing cultural humility and values creating a space where clients feel heard, respected, and understood.

Outside of school and work, Devaki enjoys making puzzles, traveling, going to the movies, and exploring new food spots around the city. She also values the importance of self-care and makes a conscious effort to incorporate it into her daily life.
