Nancy, a passionate intern at Embrace and a soon-to-be graduate of Salem State’s Master of Social Work program. Despite her background in Mathematics, Nancy’s heart has always been in social work, and her journey reflects her unwavering commitment to making a difference.

Nancy’s professional path is a testament to her dedication to the human service field. Over the years, she has served in various capacities, from direct care to administrative roles, with a special focus on children and families in residential settings. As a certified nursing assistant, she brought comfort and care to older adults, and during her last field placement at a senior center, she gained valuable insights into the needs of this demographic. Her extensive volunteer work on crisis hotlines further showcases her empathy and dedication to helping others in their times of need.

Nancy’s approach to social work is marked by strength and collaboration. She firmly believes in a systems-oriented perspective, recognizing that true growth occurs within the family and the community. Her goal is to empower individuals of all ages to overcome challenges and lead fulfilling lives.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Nancy finds solace in the outdoors, often hiking amidst nature’s beauty. She also channels her creativity into painting and cherishes quality time spent with her friends and family.
