James (he/him) is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Social Work at Salem State University. James recognizes the importance of building a strong therapeutic relationship in order to facilitate awareness, growth, and meaningful change. He believes in the importance of creating a safe container to explore and collaborate together, allowing for clients to set their own pace and make their own goals. James takes on a trauma-informed, person-centered approach to mental health support, integrating his own life experiences and social justice values to support clients in developing resilience, self-acceptance, and overall well-being.
Before transitioning to social work, James worked in dog walking and pet care. He knows the therapeutic impact animals and nature can have and hopes to utilize creative and holistic approaches along with psychoeducation and tailored interventions in his own practice. James has experience working with anxiety, depression, trauma, neurodivergence, and individuals in the LGBTQ+ community.
