Clinical Intern - MA

Ivy is a second-year graduate student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Sacred Heart University. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from Stony Brook University and has two years of experience working in the behavioral health field. Throughout her professional experience, Ivy has primarily worked in crisis intervention and substance use treatment, where she developed valuable skills that she now brings to her role as a counseling intern.

Ivy is passionate about creating a supportive, empowering, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe exploring and navigating life’s challenges. Her clinical interests include women’s issues, trauma recovery, self-esteem, and life transitions. She approaches counseling from a person-centered perspective, emphasizing collaboration, authenticity, and respect for each client’s unique experiences, strengths, and goals.

In her free time, Ivy enjoys attending concerts, traveling, and expressing her creativity through scrapbooking, fashion, and arts and crafts.
