Clinical Intern - MA

Alex is a Clinical Intern currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) at Merrimack College, where she also earned her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience in 2025. Giving her a strong foundation in understanding both the biological and emotional aspects of mental health and human behavior.

Alongside her graduate studies, Alex works as a Mental Health Worker at a Community Crisis Stabilization (CCS) program, where she supports individuals experiencing acute mental health challenges. Through this work, she has developed experience in crisis intervention, emotional support, de-escalation, and collaborative care within multidisciplinary treatment settings. She is passionate about helping individuals feel safe, supported, and empowered throughout their healing process.

Alex approaches counseling from a humanistic perspective, emphasizing empathy, authenticity, unconditional positive regard, and the importance of building meaningful therapeutic relationships. She believes that every individual has the capacity for growth and self-understanding when provided with a compassionate and nonjudgmental environment. Her approach is grounded in meeting clients where they are while fostering self-awareness, resilience, and personal empowerment.

Known for her down-to-earth and approachable nature, Alex values genuine human connection and strives to create a welcoming space where clients feel heard, respected, and understood. She is committed to continued learning and professional development as she works toward becoming a compassionate and effective mental health counselor dedicated to supporting the well-being of diverse individuals and communities.
