
Shazia is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate student at Merrimack College, where she is pursuing her Master’s degree. She is passionate about providing client-centered care that supports emotional healing, resilience and meaningful connection.
Shazia brings a thoughtful and grounded presence to her clinical work, with an emphasis on attunement, self-awareness, and meeting clients where they are. She has experience working with children and families as a Behavior Technician, where she developed skills in patience, flexibility, and navigating emotionally sensitive moments. Additionally, her background in Human Resources has shaped her strong communication skills and ability to support individuals through stress, conflict, and life transitions.
Her clinical interests include trauma-informed care, perinatal mental health, and working with children as well as evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). She is committed to fostering a collaborative, nonjudgmental space where clients feel understood, supported and empowered in their healing process.
In her free time, Shazia enjoys spending time with her newborn son and family, trying new restaurants, staying active through Pilates and traveling.
