Clinical Intern - MA

Samaya is currently in her final year of grad school to pursue her master’s in mental health counseling at Salem State University. During her undergraduate and post-undergraduate years, Samaya has gained experience working with students, children, adolescents, and adults who exhibit a wide range of disorders, from eating disorders to schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders.

Samaya is devoted to working with clients of various backgrounds, as she recognizes the stigma and disparities in mental health that exist within her own community and others. Samaya leads with a person-centered approach, along with applying cognitive behavioral therapies and dialectical behavioral therapies.

Samaya holds values that incorporate understanding, compassion, diversity, and inclusion. With these values, she is committed to creating a sense of comfort and care in an individual’s mental health journey.

Samaya is fluent in Haitian Creole and English.
