Charis earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Bridgewater State University in 2024 and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling at Salem State University. She is working toward licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Massachusetts and is excited to begin her counseling internship at Embrace Pathways.
Her clinical interests include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), an evidence-based therapeutic approach developed by Aaron Beck. CBT helps clients recognize and challenge unhelpful thought patterns and beliefs that may impact their emotions and behaviors, supporting healthier coping strategies and improved emotional well-being. She enjoys working with adolescents, young adults, and older adults.
Charis has experience supporting adults living with mental health disabilities. Through her work with the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health, she has developed insight into systemic barriers, social inequities, and the unique challenges individuals navigating mental health concerns may encounter. She is dedicated to providing compassionate, client-centered care that empowers individuals in their healing and personal growth.
Outside of her clinical training, Charis enjoys writing, drawing, painting, crafting, and cooking. She looks forward to being part of the team at Embrace Pathways and supporting clients as they navigate their mental health journeys.
