Clinician/Supervisor - MA

Camila is a dedicated and licensed independent clinical social worker with over a decade of experience in the field. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from UMASS Boston in 2008 and her Master’s in Clinical Social Work from Simmons College in 2013.
Camila began her career providing in-home therapy to children and families for four and a half years, delivering services in English, Portuguese, and Spanish. She then spent another four and a half years as a clinician on the Portuguese Mental Health Team at CHA, where she conducted individual psychotherapy with adults, addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, acculturation, stress management, and domestic violence.
In 2020, Camila briefly supervised at Greater Malden Behavioral Health and began working part-time at Embrace as a clinician. Her role at Embrace quickly evolved, and by 2022, she transitioned to a full-time position where she now provides clinical supervision to other clinicians and interns, alongside her psychotherapy practice.
Camila is passionate about empowering her clients to achieve their best selves and emotional stability through collaborative work and transparency. She is also committed to mentoring other clinicians and offering rich learning experiences to interns. Having moved to the U.S. from Brazil in January 2000, Camila is honored to serve her community, offering culturally competent services and advocating for mental health awareness. She is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
