Amanda C.

Clinical Intern - MA

Amanda is currently pursuing her Master’s in Social Work at Simmons University. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Bridgewater State University, which initially sparked her interest in the field. She had the opportunity to gain experience working in a residential treatment setting for women with personality disorders, where she observed various treatment team roles in action. This experience fostered a strong interest in becoming a clinician. She wanted to continue to expand upon her skills, leading her to an opportunity working on an intensive home-based therapeutic care team working with youth and their families. She believes taking an empathetic, nonjudgemental and client-centered approach is important when providing support to clients.

During Amanda’s free time she enjoys going for walks, painting, and spending time with friends and family.
