Michael began pursuing a career as a social worker in 2010, working as a shift supervisor at an adolescent residential group home while starting graduate studies for an MSW at Wheelock College. Following graduation and licensure, Michael gained valuable experience working for and with the Department of Children and Families (DCF) and the Department of Mental Health (DMH) through in-home support and stabilization services.
Most recently, Michael has worked alongside the local school system, providing school-based outpatient therapy to support students’ social and educational development. Through these roles, Michael has honed a wide range of clinical skills while delivering a variety of services, including—but not limited to—individual child therapy, mentoring, play therapy, family therapy, parent counseling, group counseling, and child and family advocacy within both educational and legal systems.
