Niyauna is a School-Based and Outpatient Clinician at Embrace Pathways, where she works to support young people as they navigate mental health challenges. Her journey into the field of psychology was not straightforward; initially uncertain about her major, she chose psychology and soon discovered a profound passion for helping others. She graduated in 2021 from Framingham State University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and then pursued her Master’s degree at Salem State, where she earned induction into both the Tri Alpha (First Generation Honor Society) and Psi Chi Honor Society. Being the first in her family to achieve a Master’s degree, Niyauna views her accomplishments as a step toward breaking cycles of generational trauma.
Niyauna’s commitment to working with youth stems from her belief that they are the future and that equipping them with effective coping skills early on can empower them to overcome life’s obstacles. Currently pursuing her LMHC, she has plans to open her own private practice with a focus on trauma, depression, grief, anxiety, and other mental health concerns. Niyauna is dedicated to leading by example, showing young people that experiencing a full range of emotions is natural and essential to personal growth. Her work underscores the message that all emotions, positive and challenging, are valid and contribute to resilience.
