Patrick, a graduate of Gordon College with a B.A. in both Psychology and Biblical Studies and currently pursuing a master’s in counseling at Gordon-Conwell, serves as a therapeutic mentor at Embrace, where he strives to provide meaningful support and resources to children and adolescents navigating a range of challenges.
With a heart for empowering people and communities through a strengths-based approach, Patrick has expertise in recognizing the inherent qualities and abilities of the younger generation and encouraging them to take ownership of their growth and development.
Deeply devoted to the town he has called home since the age of five, Patrick is passionate about building bridges to help meet the mental health needs of multicultural communities such as his hometown of Peabody. He hopes to continue working toward his license as a mental health counselor so he can further contribute to making care accessible within these diverse communities.
Patrick’s journey has included participating in a cohort of honors scholars in a program whose mission was to equip each scholar with the resources and knowledge needed to return to their urban communities and make a meaningful impact.
This experience was transformative; being surrounded by peers from diverse disciplines but united by a shared commitment to give back has shaped him into a psychologically-minded, multidisciplinary professional who strives to support surrounding communities and the diverse individuals within them holistically.
Fluent in both English and Brazilian Portuguese, and conversational in Spanish, Patrick excels at connecting with people from various backgrounds, seeking to make the unfamiliar familiar as he supports young individuals.
