
Ana (she/her) has been a licensed social worker since 2015. She graduated from Boston College MSW program with a concentration in health and certificate in immigrant and refugees. She has experience working in a hospital setting with a variety of different services including Oncology. She has worked in a group private practice providing therapy via telehealth to adults. She has experience supervising MSW students, LCSW’s and LMHC’s as they progress within their careers. She currently teaches a racial justice and cultural oppression course with Boston University’s Master in Social Work Program while also working per diem with Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
Ana is Mexican-American-Portuguese. She is passionate about supporting people with their self-identified goals to optimize their overall health. She believes in understanding how systems can be oppressive and harmful. Within the therapeutic space she strives to foster a level of safety and centers your story and experiences. She believes in being an advocate both in the clinical space and in the community. She has experience with anxiety, grief and bereavement, chronic illness, racial/ethnic identity formation, student athletes, college students, young adults and life transitions.
Outside of work she enjoys spending time with family in Portugal, playing soccer, and being outdoors.
